Learn the basics of shawl knitting while knitting miniature versions of two of Calypso’s shawl patterns – the Polychrome Wrap and the Adventure Shawl.
While knitting these two small samples, students will learn how to knit flat on circular needles and a variety of techniques and skills used in knitting shawls, including: center-out half-circle and corner start asymmetrical shawl designs, eyelets, short rows, simple textured lace pattern, several increase and decrease stitches to create structure and shape.
After the class, you’ll be ready for full-sized shawl knitting!
