Intro to Segmental Acupuncture

Introduction Segmental Acupuncture is a practical overview of several commonly applied segmental acupuncture methodologies. This hands-on course will deepen your understanding of how acupuncture works on an spinal segmental level and improve your clinical outcomes with tried-and-true segmental acupuncture and manual therapy techniques.
This 3 day-long course will review the anatomy and embryological development of the somatic and autonomic nervous systems and highlight practical assessment and therapeutic applications for internal medicine and pain management. This course will be presented live in-person and by live-stream.

- Assessing spine and limbs for signs of segmental neurologic dysfunction
- Assessing segmental motion dysfunctions and their treatment with acupuncture and osteopathic manual therapy
- Gunn's Intramuscular Stimulation
- Mann's periosteal pecking
- Lawrence’s osteopuncture
- Electroacupuncture "shotgun techniques" such as Craig PENS and Visceral Autonomic Modulation (perfusion)
