Intro to Sashiko - Japanese Embroidery Workshop

In this workshop you will learn a little about the history of Sashiko, decorative reinforcement stitching from Japan. Create your own small fabric collage using the basic running stitch for this form of embroidery. The 4 x 4” embroidered “patch” you make can be used to embellish a jacket, jeans, a shirt, etc. Join Candace to get started with this meditative and fun method of hand stitching!

Workshop is for adults 18 and over. Registration is $50. Please note that a materials fee of $25 (in cash) is due to the instructor at the start of the workshop.
