Elizabeth Martin, of Tiny Art Garage, will give you an introduction to Sashiko stitching, and help you learn how to create your own Sashiko projects. You’ll notice the difference between Sashiko thread & embroidery floss, learn a few different ways to start and finish, explore different motifs. There is an endless array of stitch configurations to explore, and this method of sewing is especially beautiful for mending and preserving precious cloth objects.
Beginner friendly, 2 hours, $40, materials available at the shop!
Adults and youngsters ages 10ish and up (it’s best for kids to already be familiar with using a needle and thread :)
