Join us for this 2-hour class, once a week for 6 weeks with ART START. Art Studio is located in Airport Heights.
In this class, students will learn fundamentals of portrait painting, from selecting a good reference photo to getting the image onto to canvas and then capturing likeness with correct proportions.
We'll dive into the approach for creating a portrait that captures the essence of the reference image. Through demonstrations and hands-on practice, students will be introduced to mixing skin tones, capturing facial expressions, and details. Ideal for those with previous painting experience, this class encourages creativity and self-expression.
Reference photos will be provided for the Intro to Portraiture class. If the artist prefers, they may bring their own headshot as a study piece, but it must be reviewed by the Creative Mentor to ensure it meets the criteria for a suitable study piece.
Includes: 10 hrs of guidance + all materials are supplied. Just show up and start creating!
