About this Event
Pearls have been prized for their natural beauty and luster. They've been used for jewelry and adornment for centuries.Come and learn about the history of pearls, how they are formed, and how they are cultured and harvested. You will also get to learn about different types of pearls such as keshi and baroque. From there you will get to design and make your own unique pearl jewelry. (~30min)Informational portion is free while jewelry making will be $35 and up depending on the material.
Come by the Boston Public Market to get help making your own necklace, earrings, bracelet, or get permanent jewelry for you or a friend and learn to hand hammer and size your own waterproof sterling silver or 14K gold filled ring! Oohjacquelina Jewelry is located directly next to the Pine Bar within the Boston Public Market and there are tons of other vendors inside this amazing market where you can grab a variety of locally made food!
Come from 3:00-5:00PM to meet with our General Manager Naomi and team who can teach you how to hammer their own ring, and can assist you in making or designing your own bracelet, earrings, or necklace (or do permanent jewelry on you!)
Approximate costs:
$15+for sterling silver ring
$25+ for 14K gold filled ring or simple sterling silver necklace
$45+ for a sterling silver bracelet with semi-precious stones, evil eyes, or pearls, or simple gold filled necklace
$60+ for a 14k gold filled bracelet or thicker gold filled chain necklace
Costs depending on what stones they choose and what metal thickness they choose.
