Learn the fundamentals of oil painting in a relaxed and supportive environment. This class covers: alla prima techniques, basic color theory, mixing cool and warm colors, and how to create depth and form using values. Each student will complete a painting by the end of the session, working from a simple still life. Perfect for beginners or those wanting to strengthen foundational skills.
Single sessions are $80
Age: Adults 18+
Skill: Beginning/Intermediate
Supplies Needed:
All basic supplies including oil paints, brushes, and canvas are provided by the instructor. Students will be given a list of brushes to bring, as well as a sketchbook and pencil.
NOTE: classes may be purchased as single session on the dates you wish to attend. Or go to the calendar to purchase the 6 week session.
