The Pacific Northwest is a global hotspot for fungi. In this vividly illustrated talk, learn about the diversity of mushrooms that can be found in our area, from decomposers to parasites to forest networkers.About the Presenter
August Jackson works with the Oregon Bee Atlas at Oregon State University, coordinating a program for the inventory and monitoring of bees on National Wildlife Refuges in the Pacific Northwest. Though bees are a professional focus, August is a student of natural history broadly, and in his past work at Mount Pisgah Arboretum, he has led many walks on mushroom identification and ecology.
In collaboration with and in support of the OSU Extension Master Gardenerâ„¢ Program. The Lane County Master Gardener Association (LCMGA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in support of the OSU Extension Lane County Master Gardener program.
