Intro to Meditation Experience at Massanutten In this ever-increasingly busy and loud world, meditation is proving to be a powerful antidote. It is important that we find quiet spaces where we can turn off the outside world and deeply relax.
While meditation is very helpful to us, it also can feel intimidating to some and hard to accomplish at times. This class is intended to provide you with information and experience about several different types of meditation practice.
Greg Burns of Metta Vibrations will lead a class which will explore guided meditation, silent meditation, and sound meditation. There will be a little bit of theory and discussion but the class primarily offers direct experience with these meditation practices. This class is primarily focused on beginners to meditation but can also be tailored to fit the interests and experience of the attendees.
When: Every Monday at 10am
Where: Massanutten Resort, in the Massanutten Station building, located at 1450 Meadow Vista Ln within the Massanutten complex.
What: Intro to Meditation experience
Cost: $30
No previous experience necessary for this class. Great for beginners as well as those experienced in meditation. Participants will be offered a yoga mat for lying down or a chair for sitting, and all attendees will receive a Massanutten yoga towel to take with you. It is not necessary to bring anything with you to the class, although you're welcome to bring a meditation crystal or blanket. Attendees are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and try to limit caffeine intake prior.
