The Sword School's intro to long sword is a once a week, hour long class that will introduce participants to Medieval longsword fighting, based on the treatise by Fiore di Liberi written in 1409.
This course offers six, one hour classes on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30, beginning Thursday Sept. 11th. Participants will learn how to use proper footwork, cuts, guards, parries, tactics, and grappling with the sword. The classes will consist of partner work with drills, controlled work and finally sparring.
This course is for ages 13 to adult and all equipment will be provided.
