About the Instructor, Jeff Sagar:

"It’s all my uncle’s fault, he let me use his camera to take a few shots when I was around 12 and it sparked my passion for photography…there was something very special about clicking that shutter and capturing a special moment! I’m now retired from a 40 year career in Information Technology and am excited to be out there capturing beautifullandscape and nature images. I also teach photography classes and I have a busy real estate photography business.

What I love about photography is that it's a beautiful melding of something a little technical that also engages the artistic part of me. For me, photography is really all about the journey – planning the trip, discovering and exploring new places, learning and experimenting with different techniques, and meeting interesting people along the way.

Even before my interest in photography started, I was fascinated by everything about the sun, moon, planets, stars and the whole universe. As a teenager I built my own reflecting telescope, and my goal was to take pictures through it, thus the connection with my passion for photography."
