Intro to Inversions: Building Confidence Getting Upside Down
Advertisement
Join Rose for an afternoon exploring the upside down! Whether you find inversions intimidating, exciting, intriguing, or a little bit of all three, this workshop is an opportunity to explore getting upside down in a playful and approachable way.
We’ll break inversions down into manageable pieces, exploring the strength, coordination, and body awareness that can help us feel more comfortable upside down. We’ll play with a variety of inverted shapes and drills, with plenty of options for different bodies and experience levels.
We’ll also explore some of the brain-based components of inversions and how the nervous system can influence balance, coordination, strength, and even emotions like fear. We’ll try some of Rose’s favorite brain-based drills and notice how they might change the way an inversion feels in your body.
We’ll get curious, experiment with different approaches, and build tools and confidence you can take into your own practice.
And if you’re wondering whether you’re “strong enough” to join, you may already be practicing inversions more often than you think! Downward-facing dog is an inversion so if you can comfortably practice down dog, you already have a solid foundation for beginning to explore other ways of getting upside down.
Come ready to learn, have fun, and spend some time upside down!
Pricing: $40 for 2-hour workshop
$30 for Left Coast studio members, use promo code MEMBER2026
