Curious about improv but never tried it?

This workshop is for anyone looking to step into a world where scenes, characters and stories are created completely on the spot.

No acting or improv experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to play.

In this workshop you will

Build confidence by thinking on your feet.

Improve creativity, spontaneity and active listening.

Learn to create unscripted scenes from nothing.

Trust your instincts and support your scene partners.

Spend two hours laughing, playing and surprising yourself.

Whether you are an actor, writer, performer or simply someone looking to try something new, this workshop is open to everyone.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Neeltarni Pratap is an actor, writer and improviser based in Los Angeles. She has trained at Upright Citizens Brigade UCB, iO West, Second City, LAMDA, The Idiot Workshops and Howard Fine Acting Studio. She has spent over a decade studying improv, acting and clowning and loves introducing people to the joy of improvisation.

Krishan Hooda is an improviser, filmmaker and co founder of The NEGATIVE. His teaching philosophy, Learn to fail on stage, encourages performers to embrace vulnerability, take risks and discover their authentic creativity.

As a filmmaker, he has directed acclaimed actors including Naseeruddin Shah, Sunil Grover, Daisy Shah, Rajesh Tailang and Vidya Malvade. Together with Neeltarni, he has spent the last two years building one of Indias fastest growing improv communities.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time. If you expect to be late, let us know in advance. If you arrive after class has started, please wait outside until there is a suitable break before entering.

WHAT TO BRING

Comfortable clothes you can move in.

Closed, comfortable shoes. No flip flops.

A water bottle.

A light jacket if you tend to get cold.

A notebook and pen if you would like to take notes.

Please keep your phone switched off during the workshop so everyone can stay present and focused.
