++ What Happens in the Session
++
This is a structured and guided class that takes you through the fundamentals of theatrical improvisation.
An experienced teacher will ease you into a few theatre exercises and games over the course of two hours to give you an idea of how the craft works and what you can get out of it. These exercises are done in groups so everyone is in it together; nobody is ever singled out and asked to perform in front of the class.

++ The Benefits of Improv
++
Partaking in improv has been found to have many benefits for personal development. In the short term, it’s just play, in the same way kids play but for adults. This can be great for relieving stress after long day of being a responsible adult and generally improving your mood.
Long term, improv can teach you to be more mentally flexible, and to be more receptive to new ideas and opportunities.
For performers and artists, it can push you towards being more dynamic. Reacting to changes in your environment (think: impromptu requests from the director during an acting audition) becomes a little easier; plus, devising content through improvisation can be a powerful way to work as an artist.
