About this Event
This Intro to Grant Writing workshop provides a clear, practical introduction to the grant funding process for nonprofits and community organizations. Designed with beginners in mind, this session breaks down what grants are, how they work, and how to determine whether your organization is truly grant-ready.
Participants will learn how to identify funding opportunities that align with their mission, understand what funders are looking for in strong applications, and avoid common pitfalls that can hold organizations back. We’ll also discuss the importance of preparation, documentation, and storytelling in successful grant writing.
This workshop also offers a preview of the learning, collaboration, and practical tools attendees can expect at the Community Summit. It is a great way to experience the style and value of the Summit on a smaller scale and decide if the full event is right for you.
As a bonus, the $25 workshop ticket includes a $25 coupon code toward the purchase of a Community Summit ticket, making this session both a valuable learning opportunity and a smart investment in continued professional development.
*NOTE*A Google Meet link will be shared after registration for attendees who choose to participate virtually.
