AR DOH approved *6 Hrs., *$120 This course is designed to provide MTs with a fundamental review of the physiological effects of thermotherapy, a history of Hot Stone Massage, an overview of indications and contraindications- with and emphasis on safety. Discussion and Hands-on Practice of Hot Stone set-up, technique protocol, and clean-up will provide a mastery of this modality that has enjoyed a rise in popularity and become a staple of the Massage Therapy industry. We will also discuss general guidelines on purchasing or collecting your own Hot Stone set, as well as marketing/pricing your own Hot Stone service. You will provide and receive a Full Body Hot Stone Massage. Class will include a PowerPoint presentation and a Handout. Please dress comfortably and bring linens, massage OIL or GEL (No Lotion/Cream), pens/pencils, and a notebook. Hot Stone Warmers and Stones will be provided for the course.
