Have you ever been curious about fishing? Providing for your own family? Or is your husband fishing and you would love to join him but don't want to be the tag along? Or is he baiting your hooks, tying your knots - because you don't know? We got you covered!This weekend is designed for you to learn to do "your own thing"! Choose your own rod, tackle, decide what species you want to catch and how to set yourself up for success. Tie your own knots and take care of your catch as well as meeting other women, socializing and having a laugh!
We will be staying at the Orewa Campground which has some creature comforts, like a community kitchen, a couple of cabins to share, hot showers and proper toilets. Everything is pretty basic but that's all we will need. Accommodation is included in the price of course.
We are NOT going on a charter - we will be concentrating a lot and don't need unstable ground or sea sickness whilst we are tying to tie knots and work with knives and hooks. We will be mainly fishing from the wharf as it is important to learn the techniques, which you then will be able to use anywhere! A Daiwa rod each will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring you own gear if you like.
We will send out a gear list of what to bring prior and get you ladies prepared for the trip, so don't worry!
A fully catered option will be available which we will offer in a separate email.
