Perfect timing in my book! Wooohooooo! Mayyybe I'll even get back to throwing my traditional Backyard May Day Party again this year! It's been a few weird years, but... eh??

Wanna play with fire?? NOW IS THE TIME!!!
Have you wondered where and how to even start? Well, here’s your chance! I gotchu! Over 300 students have taken this Intro to Fire class, that I’ve been teaching consistently since 2013 – WOW!
These classes will cover all the bases, make sure you have all the right supplies, and teaches you from zero to performing for your friends and family in 5 weeks! This class is recommended for newbies and beginners that wish to learn properly and safely, in a comfortable and fun environment, with Fire Mama holding your hand (not literally - ha!) the whole way! Fire play is my passion, and I'm so happy and excited to have continued support and requests for these classes!
This is a 5 week series, with classes on 5 Thursdays.
April 4, 11, 18, 25 and May 2, 2024
All classes 7 - 9 pm...
Teaching Fire Poi, Staff, Fans, or Hoop
*Choose only one (for now!)!
(BUT HONESTLY.... I SUPER VERY MUCH PREFER POI STUDENTS! It's my specialty, where most people actually start anyways, and is my FAV! POI POI POI!)
***Please don't buy any fire props without talking to me first (ideally at our first class). I've had a few people buy the wrong thing trying to get a jump on this, but pleeeeez let me advise you!
Hoopers must come with previous hooping experience. All other props will be taught basic skills. This class will focus primarily on fire, less on prop skills. (But, if you’re interested, I actually teach a separate poi spinning skills class – ask me!)
Week 1: Order props, first movement skills class. Homework - fire kit building!
Week 2: SAFETY and Instruction - ULTRA REQUIRED CLASS!!!
Weeks 3-5: Guided experience and specific instruction sessions.
You will leave this class series with all the props, accessories, tools, knowledge, and confidence you need to perform comfortably and safely with fire! Must choose only ONE prop to focus on for the entire class series. Once you officially join the class, you will be added to the class group page for resources and support. Must sign a liability and emergency contact form at the start of class #1! Fire play is a dangerous activity! Come learn with focus, respect, and safety as the top priority. You'll love it - it's a rush every time!
COST: $240 for the entire 5 week series. Class #2 (SAFETY CLASS) is REQUIRED. You must attend this class or arrange for a make-up session ($30 extra) prior to proceeding in the series, if it is missed. There are some extra costs for your fire kit supplies (that you'll go get for yourself, I'll tell you everything!) and personal fire props (i can help you get!), which will last you a lifetime! ***You must plan to pay for your own props (digital, cash, or check) during the first class, so we can order them all together (as needed)! I'm happy to give you specific prop recommendations, have samples for you to play with at our first class, and will help make this a smooth process all around! We can discuss specific costs further when you message me regarding class. Once you have all your gear, you'll have it for life! The only thing you'll have to replace is your fuel, depending on how much you wanna play!
Payment for the entire series is due prior to starting the classes. ***PAYMENT OPPORTUNITY - Pay the full $240 right away, OR put $140 down to hold your space in the class, with the remaining $100 due on Week 3. You are still required to pay for your own fire prop ($100ish, depending) at Class #1.***
Maximum 7 students per class - first come first serve, and given the continued interest in these classes, I wouldn't be surprised if they max out, so don't dilly dally! However..... there is a class minimum of 4 students per class series (I reserve the right to cancel the entire class, if the minimum is not reached. Bring your friends!). No pets, no refunds, and no kids (unless by super duper special request - tell me more).
New students will be added to the private “Intro to Fire with Fire Mama” FB group, which is an excellent resource for information, support, and community fire opportunities! EVERYBODY in this group is invited to the Week #5 Graduation Fire Jam, as you will also be.... forever! Well, for as long as I teach this class. ?
Classes are RAIN, SNOW, or SHINE (we will meet in my garage, as absolutely necessary, but will otherwise be 100% outside.)
