Intro To Entomology: Orb Weaver Spider Pinning Class

Across many culttures, spiders are seen as powerful symbols of creation and interconnectedness. Their intricate webs have been known to represent fate, manifestation, and destiny. Join us as we learn to preserve these beautiful creatures while taking in the lovely surroundings at the oldest existing cemetery in Sacramento.

This is a hands-on, beginner friendly class in which we will be positioning and pinning a real orb weaver spider! All ticketing fees are included in the price.

This class includes a pinning kit, your spider, glass pre-matted frame, and all instruction. Glass dome upgrade available at checkout. Note: you will be mounting your spider at home after it has had time to dry, all instructions will be covered.

This class is designed for all skill levels, ages 12 and up. Each ticket is for one seat. Due to space constraints, no guests or spectators will be allowed in class.

Please arrive up to 10 minutes prior to the start time to sign in. Learners under the age of 18, please arrive with an adult to check in.

*Students with shellfish sensitivities should note that some species of arthrpopds (spiders, moths, scorpions, butterflies, and beetles) can produce similar reactions. Gloves will be available if needed.
