Instruction in the history of the Usui tradition and nature of reiki energy. Level 1 focuses on self-care, but the attunement allows for the channeling of reiki healing to yourself and others. This healing ritual may expand your intuition and help you on your life path. Once initiated, you have reiki with you always, to guide and protect you on a spiritual level. Regardless of your own intuition or empathy, learning traditional reiki hand positions enables you to channel healing from the universe. You'll also learn about some other forms of holistic healing, energy work, chakra balancing, crystal healing, and animal reiki.This class is a prerequisite for Level 2, but some students are satisfied with just a level 1 attunement and follow a path that doesn't lead them to further reiki training.
