Intro to Embroidery Workshop

Intro to Embroidery is a beginner workshop for students who want to learn the foundational skills behind creating beautiful embroidery art.
This class is focused on learning and practice, not completing a large finished project. Students will spend the first part of class learning beginner embroidery skills, then use those skills to begin their own floral embroidery piece during the final portion of the workshop.
Students will learn:
Project Setup
How to use embroidery tools and properly set up their project.
Basic Stitching
How to create a few beginner embroidery stitches they can use in their artwork.
Flower Design
How to create a variety of embroidered flower designs.
During the first hour of class, students will learn and practice these embroidery skills through guided exercises. During the last 30 minutes, they will begin creating their own floral embroidery piece.
Students may not finish their final artwork during class, but they will leave with a strong introduction to embroidery, new creative skills, embroidery supplies, and the beginning of a project they can continue at home.
