Intro to Drawing Human Anatomy with Marley Hirsch
Time: 11am - 1:30pm
Location: Art Center of Corpus Christi Bayview Gallery
Age Range: 16+
Please note that all minors must be accompanied by an adult
Description
This class is an introduction to human anatomy art curriculum that covers proportions and gesture, skeletal foundations, and major muscle groups.
Students will learn to draw basic body proportions, skeleton landmarks, and surface muscle forms. Through guided exercises, students will gain practical experience in measuring and confidence in drawing proportions. The purpose of the course is not to memorize every muscle and bone, but to understand the body's underlying structure well enough to draw believable figures from imagination or observation. A solid grasp of anatomy improves proportion, movement, expression, and the ability to stylize characters while keeping them convincing.
Recommended for teens 16 and above.
