If you've ever wondered about Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and NAMI SE MN's DBT Skills Groups, you'll have two opportunities during Mental Health Awareness Month to learn more in person.
Join us on May 6 or May 20 to for an introduction to DBT, a therapy modality with the goal of enhancing your ability to manage difficult emotions, and our DBT Skills Groups. You'll see how each area of DBT - mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation - plays a role in managing your mental health. These are useful skills for anyone, including those without mental illness.
Our biweekly DBT Skills Groups are not therapy, but a chance to learn and practice the skills in a safe, supportive environment. They're facilitated by a trained DBT Skills teacher and open to all, whether or not you're enrolled in a formal DBT program.
You do not need to register to attend.
