Intro to Carpentry for Women and Non-Binary Individuals

Introduction to Carpentry for Female and Non-Binary Folks!

Join us for a fun and empowering day of all things carpentry!

Instructors will start off with a tool talk and demo, introducing a number of common hand and power tools, then will open up a forum for questions and feedback.

After getting to know the tools and learning the safety guidelines, participants will get started on building garden support structures.

LUSH Valley will provide all necessary power tools and building materials. Eye and ear protection will be available on a shared basis, but where possible, participants are encouraged to bring their own.

Things to Bring:

1. Sun protection
2. Close-toed shoes
3. Personal protective equiptment
4. A water bottle and lunch

Notes:

1. No previous experience required.
2. All power tools and building equiptment will be provided.
3. There will be potable water on site and an outhouse faciliy.
4. This workshop is intended for people who self-identify as female or non-binary.
