Intro to Burlesque Movement: Pre-Heat and Peel with Dorian Dietrich

Designed with burlesque newcomers in mind, this class uses the glove peel as an introduction to the many ways you can seduce your audience as you take it off! Start out with a fun, unintimidating warm up to ready your body for movement, and an exploration of the many unique and personal ways we can highlight our favorite bits. Next you'll learn about a staple of burlesque — the glove peel — and then put it all together in a short group routine. There is no nudity in this class - the only things that you'll cast off are your gloves and hopefully your inhibitions! Come dressed to move in whatever makes you feel cute and comfy. This class is taught by Dorian Dietrich, a burlesque entertainer with little legit dance background but an abundance of presence and passion.

Bring: Please wear clothes that make you feel cute and comfortable. Please bring water.

Bio: Dorian Dietrich, The Weimar Vamp, delivers deliciously decadent performances to audiences around the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. They are known for singing striptease and sultry slowburn, often combining gender play with their captivating presence. They have produced Silhouette on the SF Peninsula since 2022.
