This beginner workshop will guide students in the creation of their very own wearable beads!
About this Event

We will explore color and form through the lens of pattern and texture, applying your unique voice to the art of flameworked glass beads. With safety talks and demonstrations, students will learn the process of melting colorful glass rods at the torch and how to use a basic set of tools to shape the molten material.

This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration. Proof of vaccination (full vaccination for ages 12+, one dose for ages 5-12) must be shown for in-person classes and studio access. Proof of vaccination* can be shown via: CDC Paper Card, Digital Record or Copy of Vaccination Card, NYC COVID Safe App, or Excelsior Pass.
Please bring your vaccine record for a visual check on the first day of class.
*Any WHO approved vaccines are accepted as part of the city’s order. upon arrival at the studio.
Our top priority is keeping our community safe. We are asking that all students consider getting tested for COVID-19 before coming to class and if you test positive to remain home. We also ask that if you were recently directly exposed to COVID-19 and are awaiting test results that you do not come to class. In any case, we will work with you to find another class placement or refund you the class fee.
