About this Event
We will go through the basics of how Fusion 360 works and explore three different ways to build a model;
- using a sketch or blueprint
- creating a digital copy of a real-life object
- converting an existing 3D model into one suitable for 3D printing
Attendees Should Bring a laptop with the ability to run the program. Specific requirements can be found here: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-Autodesk-Fusion-360.html
Try launching it ahead of time to make sure your laptop can run it.
(if it can play The Sims 4, it can run Fusion!)
This class is solely for models intended for 3D printing. While you can make them look nice in a rendered image (I will cover this, too!), they're not suitable for animation; that's a whole different class taught by a more talented instructor!
Instructor: Tim Canty
Instructor's Bio: Tim is an intermediate (or talented amateur) 3D modeler using Fusion 360 for three years. He primarily uses it to produce replicas of props from video games and TV shows for cosplay or because they look fabulous on a shelf. His collection of half-finished projects is way too big, but he's working on that this year!
Instructional Resources: You can register an account and download the program ahead of time here: https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal
Refunds will be provided up to seven (7) days before the class.
