Intra-Oral Facial Aesthetic and Dental Lasers; 7 CE Credits

This course will show the advantages of lasers for both the practitioner and the patient. It will give the dentist the information needed to make a financially and clinically sound decision regarding implementing lasers into their practice. Clinical cases will be presented to show the role of lasers in every discipline of dentistry. “Will my practice benefit from a laser or are they just expensive tools that do what I already perform today?”

• Explain the advantages of lasers for both practitioners & patients.

• Discuss the financial & clinical factors to consider before implementing lasers.

• Compare and contrast all major dental laser wavelengths.

• Discuss clinical cases to show the role of lasers in dentistry.

• Sleep disordered breathing (including screening) whereby the soft palate and uvula are bathed with laser energy which tightens the collagen and opens up the airway without cutting or surgery.

• Non-surgical laser applications in improving sports performance and nasal breathing

• Applications in facial Aesthetics within the scope of dental practice

• Facial Rejuvenation – “Turn Back the Clock of Facial Aging”

• Wrinkle reduction and prevention - bathing the inside of the cheek in laser energy tightening the collagen so the outside of the cheek looks smooth

• Laser lip enhancement – the inside of the lip is bathed in laser energy creating new collagen and making lips look fuller.

• Hemorrhage control

• Injection free restorative

• Laser activated endodontics

Dr. Judson Wall received his DDS from West Virginia University School of Dentistry and has been using all kinds of lasers since 2006. He Has a fellowship with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (July 2010), a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry (June 2007) and an Associate Fellowship with the World Clinical Laser Institute (July 2005). He is also Certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry in ND:Yag and Erbium Yag lasers. Laser augmentation of zirconia implants at the IAOCI, he is in the founders circle for the Lumix2 Cold Pulsing Laser.

While serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Wall was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service. Other community service recognitions include Salt Lake District Award of Merit for Boy Scouts of America (2006), Chamorro District Scoutmaster of the Year (2004),
