Rules for the Tournament:
1. Tournament Structure: The tournament will be in a group-based format with two groups of five teams each. Each team will play every other team in their group (round-robin format).
The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages.
2. Team Size: Matches will be played in a 6-a-side format with max squad limit being 10.
3. Substitutions: Rolling substitutions are allowed.
4. Venue: JAFF.
5. Match Duration: 12-minute straight matches with a 2-minute break between games.
6. Player Eligibility: Player must be from EEE Department of Brac University, this will be
strictly maintained. One player cannot play in two different teams.
7. Equipment: Players must wear appropriate indoor or turf shoes. Boots or barefoot play
are not permitted.
8. Arrival Time: Each team must report 10 minutes before their match time due to short
breaks between games to ensure smooth scheduling.
9. Penalty Rules: In case of penalties:
-The defending goalkeeper must have at least one foot on or behind the goal line when the
kick is taken.
-If the kicker takes the shot before the referee’s whistle, the penalty will be deemed a "NO
GOAL."
-No Video Assistance: There will be no VAR or external video assistance. All final calls will
be made by the on-field referee and sideline officials.
10. Discipline and Conduct:
-Players and teams must maintain discipline on the field.
-Misbehavior, misconduct, or lawlessness will result in disciplinary actions, which may
include bans or team disqualification.
-Red card offenses result in a 1-minute ban for the offending player.
-The referee’s decisions are final and must be respected.
11. Delayed Start:
- If a team is late, 1 goal will be conceded for every 2 minutes of delay.
- A 3-0 walkover will be awarded to the opposing team if the delayed team fails to arrive
before half-time.
12. Tiebreakers in Group Stage: If teams are tied in points, the order of tiebreakers is:
Points - Goal Difference - Penalties - Cards.
13. Red and Yellow Cards:
-A player receiving a yellow card will be banned for 1 minute.
-Two consecutive yellow cards across matches will lead to a suspension in the following
game.
-Yellow card tallies will reset after the group stage, but red card suspensions will carry over.
14. Back-Pass Rule: Allowed
15. No Offside: There will be no offside rule in effect for this tournament.
16. Knockout Stage Tiebreaker: For knockout games, if the score is tied, the match will
proceed directly to a penalty shootout
