About this Event
What is Fusion?
Autodesk Fusion is powerful 3D modelling, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software. If you want to 3D print or CNC machine anything in the Maker Space you'll be using this software to get it done.
Fusion is relatively new to the CAD/CAM workspace, incorporating a modern user interface so it can be easier to learn than older software like Solidworks.
What will we be doing?
We'll be covering the basics of Fusion, designing 3D models from flat 2D technical drawings. From there you can design parts for 3D printing and machining.
What do I need to bring?
You will need a working University of Salford computer login.
Please make sure you create an Autodesk Fusion education account using your University email address before turning up to the session. How to create an Autodesk Fusion education account.
