This ceremony invites you to drop into your body, reconnect with your inner knowing, and receive guidance from the unseen realms

As we move toward the darkest days of winter, this ceremony offers a chance to root deeply, release what is no longer needed, and listen to the quiet voice within. With Burdock as our plant spirit guide, we will journey into the subtler layers of the self to receive clarity, nourishment, and grounding.

We begin by preparing and sharing a tea ritual with Burdock Root, inviting its grounding, cleansing, and stabilizing energies into our bodies and intentions. You’ll be guided to connect with Burdock’s spirit through presence, breath, and mindful sipping.

Through the steady rhythm of the drum, you will be guided into a shamanic journey — a meditative state where sound becomes a bridge to the subconscious, the spirit world, and the deeper layers of your intuition. This journey may bring imagery, messages, clarity, or simply a profound sense of grounding.

You’ll be invited to clarify your intention for the journey and then gently integrate your experience afterward through grounding practices, optional journaling prompts, and quiet reflection.

You’ll have the opportunity (optional) to share your experience in a supportive and nonjudgmental circle, honoring each person’s insight and healing.

We will close by anchoring the energy of the evening with a simple grounding practice and shared breath, sealing the journey with gratitude.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

Nora Luce is a local folk herbalist who serves the community at the local farmer's markets with her company Critical Ritual. She has a passion for sharing her many years of education in medical botany and folk herbalism. Her desire is for this community to have more awareness to the abundance of plant medicine that surrounds us in this city and the re-awakening of more medicine people on this land.

Kelsey Nixon is known as Hallow Bone, a drum facilitator whose background in bodywork and assisted stretching bring a deep awareness for the way the body holds energy. She has a deep desire to facilitate journeys for humans to drop deeper into their own intuitive guidance, and to be the hollow bone for others to find their connections.
