Interwoven: Wilmington Rock Gym for Couples
Special Operations Couples are invited to summon their courage and step out of their comfort zone into an experience that requires patience, trust and positive self talk. Participants are invited to embrace the opportunity to climb to new heights both physically and mentally at Wilmington Rock Gym. This physical activity depends upon thoughtful movement, careful planning of next steps, and trust in your belay partner.
Research suggests that when couples workout together, the activity helps build connection. Research by relationship expert Dr. John Gottman also shows that when you acknowledge and openly discuss positive aspects of your partner and your marriage, your bond is strengthened. We will practice this as the class is taught how to belay and basic climbing movements.
New to Interwoven events with The Station? Welcome! Our outStation Facilitator, Randi Pongo, will be in contact with you to share our mission and confirm your Special Operations Forces affiliation.
