Interwoven: “Sunrise on the Shore” Connection & Cleanup

Join us for a peaceful morning of connection and service as we gather to welcome the day with a sunrise beach walk and beach cleanup. This special event is designed to provide SOF spouses with an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life, reconnect with nature, and spend meaningful time alongside others who understand the unique journey of SOF life.

As the sun rises over the water, we’ll begin the morning with a grounding exercise, taking in the peaceful beauty of the shoreline. From there, we’ll enjoy a gentle beach walk, creating space to slow down and embrace the stillness the morning brings.

Walking on the beach provides a natural way to support physical and emotional well-being. The soft sand engages muscles to improve balance and strength.   The sound of the waves and fresh ocean air can reduce stress and promote a greater sense of peace and clarity.

Throughout the walk, participants will be encouraged to practice grounding, also known as earthing, by connecting directly with the sand beneath their feet. Grounding can serve as a simple yet powerful reminder to be present, helping us feel more centered and connected to ourselves and the world around us.

Following our walk, we will spend time caring for the beach through a community cleanup. This act of service allows us to give back to the environment while helping protect marine life and preserve the natural beauty of our coastline. Together, we can make a meaningful impact while strengthening our connection to the community and the place we call home.

• Please wear comfortable walking shoes (or go barefoot if you prefer for grounding)
• Dress appropriately for weather
• Bring a water bottle
• Latex gloves and trash bags will be provided
