About this Event
Interwoven: Salt Cave Sound Bath - Progressive Relaxation Experience
Special Operations Spouses are invited to join The Station Foundation; this unique workshop combines the benefits of halotherapy with a sound bath for a truly immersive experience.
This practice supports holistic ways of healing and aims to alleviate stress and tension from the body and mind.
Halotherapy is an all-natural salt therapy with proven benefits for respiratory health, stress relief, the immune system, detoxification, and sleep quality. Salt therapy can help with breathing conditions like asthma, bronchitis, and allergies. The minerals in salt, like calcium, potassium, and iron, are absorbed by your skin and air passageways, and the negatively charged ions in salt can neutralize positively charged particles in your body that cause stress and anxiety. Some of the benefits are reducing inflammation, boosting circulation, relaxation, detoxification, and muscle recovery.
Sound healing is an ancient practice that uses various musical instruments to promote healing, reduce stress, improve sleep, and restore balance to the mind, body, and spirit. The sounds activate the parasympathetic nervous system, also known as the ‘rest and digest’ system, resulting in improved physical, emotional, and mental well-being. The soothing sounds can calm the nervous system and lower the body's stress responses, reducing tension, stress, and anxiety.
Pythagoras based musical education in the first place on certain melodies and rhythm that exercised a healing, a purifying influence on the human actions and passions, restoring ‘Pristine Harmony’ of the souls’ faculties. He applied the same means to the curing of diseases of both body and mind…
- Porphyry (233-309) 2nd generation disciple of Pythagoras
