About this Event
Special Operations Forces Service Members are invited to join Patrick Ryan, owner of Benevolent Design, and The Station Foundation for a three day woodworking intensive to explore the meditative benefits of craftsmanship. Participants will lean into the mindfulness principles of presence, breathwork, and focus while tapping into creativity. Woodworking provides many psychological and cognitive benefits including stress reduction, mood regulation, improved concentration and spatial skills, and normalizing brain chemistry.
Throughout this three day workshop, each service member will shape a custom cutting board.
This three day workshop will be held on:
Tuesday, October 13 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Wednesday, October 14 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Tuesday, October 20 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

- Participants must commit to attending all three days of the workshop.
- No experience necessary.
- Closed toe shoes are required.
- All tools and equipment will be provided.
