Interwoven: “Pattern & Purpose” A Mom and Teen Sewing Experience
About this Event
Interwoven: “Pattern & Purpose” A Mom and Teen (Age 13-17) Sewing Experience
Join The Station Foundation for an afternoon of creativity and connection as you and your teen work side by side on a guided sewing project. Between school, extra curricular activities, and the unique demands that come with the SOF community, it can be difficult to find uninterrupted time to simply be together.
This special sewing experience is designed to create space for moms and teens to slow down and enjoy one another's company while creating something meaningful by hand. Whether you are threading a needle for the first time or have experience behind a sewing machine, this workshop is about the journey you share together, not perfection.
Sewing is a powerful form of self-care that offers a variety of wellness benefits for both teens and adults. Sewing can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and mindfulness, strengthen fine motor skills, and support emotional well-being through creative expression.
Spending intentional time together helps build trust, improve communication, foster confidence, and create opportunities for meaningful conversations. This event is an opportunity to unplug from daily distractions and reconnect through creativity and shared experience. One stitch at a time, you’ll leave with more than a handmade project, you’ll leave with memories made together.
