This outreach experience is open to Special Operations Forces Teens (Ages 13-17).
About this Event

Special Operations Forces teens (ages 13-17) are invited to join The Station Foundation for a relaxed afternoon of junk journaling.
Life as a teen can be challenging and sometimes overwhelming. Journaling offers a healthy way to process emotions and make sense of everyday experiences.
Writing down thoughts and feelings can help reduce stress and provide a safe space to express emotions without fear of judgment.
Junk journaling is a unique form of collage art that transforms everyday “junk” into something meaningful. Using old mail, magazine pages, ticket stubs, wrappers, stickers, scrapbook paper, photographs, and other found materials, you’ll create pages that tell your story, capture memories, or simply let your imagination take the lead.
This workshop offers a welcoming space to slow down, explore your creativity, and connect with other SOF teens in a supportive environment. Whether you’re creating something deeply personal or just having fun experimenting with different materials, you’ll leave with a journal that’s uniquely yours.
Facilitated by: Shayla Hayward-Lundy, MS, LPAT, ATR-BC, RYT.
