Interwoven: Slow Flow Yoga
Join The Station Foundation for Fall Equinox Beach Yoga led by the Coronado Yoga Loca, Mary Farley. Interwoven: Slow Flow Vinyasa yoga is a 60 minute self care and reflection experience for Special Operation spouses. Recognize the beauty in slowing down, looking inward, and practicing self care as your body moves through a guided flow. This session is especially unique, as we gather on the beach in Coronado, and practice under the beautiful sky while looking out at the ocean and Point Loma.
As summer comes to a close, the changing of the seasons is a great time for reflection. After intense outward energy all summer long, it is a good time to take an inward look at ourselves with the fall equinox. The Fall brings a slower pace and we will engage in Slow Flow Yoga Practice. Without an intentional practice in our lives, it is challenging to pause and pay attention to our own physical, mental and emotional health.
Fall Equinox is when light and dark are in balance and day and night are of equal length. It is a seasonal transition which may bring strong winds and wild weather as nature moves towards winter. This event will help you transition smoothly into the new season by celebrating the abundance the year has brought you and the fruits of your efforts.
This yoga flow presents a life long practice that helps participants experience the benefits that slowness has to offer. From the safe space that the yoga mat represents, participants are able to slow down to increase awareness of their physical, mental and emotional state. This guided practice challenges participants both physically and emotionally. As participants move with purpose from one pose to the next, they are reminded to stay present and focus on each breath that glides in and flows out. Participants leave this event with an accessible self care practice that helps manage daily life stressors and are empowered to prioritize their physical and emotional well-being.
