Interwoven: Dancing Through The Rain - A SOF Family Story Adventure
About this Event
Inspired by the heartwarming book, Children Who Dance in the Rain, by Susan Justice.
Sometimes life’s greatest adventures don’t take us to new places, they help us see the world in a whole new way.
Special Operations Forces Families with children ages 5-12 are invited to join The Station Foundation for a meaningful children’s story adventure where families will explore the inspiring story of Sophie, a young girl who often finds herself distracted by technology and the comforts of everyday life. When her family travels to India, she can’t wait for the adventure ahead. What she discovers is far more valuable than she ever expected.
As Sophie spends time with children living in a small mud village, she is amazed by their kindness, generosity, resilience, and genuine happiness. Although they have very few material possessions, they find joy in friendship, gratitude, and the simple moments that make life meaningful. Through these friendships, Sophie learns that true happiness isn’t found in material possessions, but in appreciating life’s simple blessings, caring for others, and embracing each day with a grateful heart.
Based on true events, Children Who Dance in the Rain invites children to see the world through a lens of gratitude, compassion, and hope while celebrating the strengths that help us navigate life’s challenges.
This experience encourages children to build confidence, strengthen their emotional well-being, and recognize that every challenge is an opportunity to grow.
