Interwoven: Corky Crustacean Summer Craft Connection
Special Operation Forces Spouses and Children (ages 8+) are invited to join The Station Foundation for a fun filled morning of ocean inspired crafting at The Art and Craft Room in Chesapeake. Dive into the depths of your creativity as you create a quirky cork and beaded crustacean to celebrate summer and take a break from the heat outdoors.
Art invites us to slow down and be present. It gently captures our attention and offers meditative benefits. The benefits of crafting with beads include improving fine motor skills, visual perception, focus and concentration. Crafting encourages us to be curious, let go of expectations, explore possibilities and delight in color and texture. During this relaxing workshop, children will create a one-of-a- kind crustacean masterpiece.

9:15 - 9:30 AM: Arrival and Check In
9:30- 9:45 AM: Welcome and Program Discussion
9:45-11:30 AM: Corky Crustaceans
- Children must be at least 8 years of age.
- No experience is necessary.
- All materials will be provided.
