About this Event

Special Operations Forces Spouses are invited to spend the morning with The Station Foundation to experience the restorative benefits of working with clay on the potter's wheel. Join us at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art as we explore this primal mode of expression and transform clay into a functional piece. Throwing clay on the wheel will enable participants to tap into their strengths of curiosity and creativity, increase self awareness, and experience the benefits of being present. This therapeutic workshop is an invitation to slow down, let go of perfection, and enjoy the creative process.

10:00 - 10:15 AM: Welcome, Intention Setting, and Grounding Practice
10:15 - 12:30 PM: Beginner’s Ceramics Workshop

Event Details:
Come dressed in "play clothes" (wear something you don't mind getting dirty).
This is a beginner’s class; no experience is necessary.
All supplies will be provided onsite.

This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 8 attendees. We kindly request a cancellation notice no less than 72 hours prior to the event. Thank you for your consideration.
