Interview Lighting Basics | Nashville, TN
About this Event
An interview is much more than a long video sequence of someone talking — it’s the throughway that ties your storytelling together. How your interview subject looks can determine the entire mood of the project, making lighting one of the most important elements in creating a compelling, professional-looking interview.
During this one-hour demo, instructor Mat Marrash will share lighting setup tips and techniques drawn from his 15 years of experience working in the industry and on set. Learn how to shape light, create depth, and use lighting to complement your subject while setting the right tone for your story.
Whether you shoot with a smartphone or a professional cinema rig, Mat will cover lighting fundamentals that can elevate any level of production. Discover practical approaches you can apply to your own interviews, from working with available light to building a more intentional lighting setup that brings out the best in your subject.
