Intertwine Connect supporting Portland parks

Join us at Intertwine Connect to celebrate Portland parks!

The Intertwine Alliance is continuing its Intertwine Connect series with an October event in partnership with Portland Parks Foundation and BikePortland.

Please join us Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at BikePortland’s weekly happy hour at Gorges Beer in SE Portland’s Ankeny Rainbow Road Plaza. Connect with friends old and new, and learn about the Portlanders for Parks ballot measure on your November ballot.

What to expect:

4 p.m. - Free food courtesy of BikePortland, and casual social time with Intertwine Alliance, Portland Parks Foundation and BikePortland staff and community.

5:30 p.m. - A brief program about why the upcoming Portland Parks levy is so necessary and what you can do to support it. The Intertwine Alliance and Portland Parks Foundation have partnered to support development of the levy as one critical piece of a sustainable future for Portland Parks & Recreation; now that it’s on the November ballot, we're here to educate the public about the value of parks funding. Learn all about the levy, including how to endorse, donate and volunteer, here.

The event is free. Please consider supporting local business Gorges Beer with a drink purchase.

Intertwine Connect is a quarterly series of happy hours, trivia nights and other similar fun activities to help Intertwine Alliance partners and friends build community, network and stay connected. Intertwine Summits are wonderful, but they happen every 18 months. We need more time together! Gatherings are planned and hosted by our board of director's new small events committee, aka the party planning committee.
