Inter.Sonix 15: KILAT, 2K88, YL Hooi

Liquid Architecture continues to explore the breadth of sonic practices on the outer perimeter of modern music with the 15th edition of the Inter.Sonix series. The program positions post-dub, bass-driven avant-rap and black metal in close proximity, each centred around the exploitation of low-end frequencies as a core component.
Refusing compromise, the artists each design their own sonic code: 2K88 from Poland draws from avant-garde soundscapes and a multiplicity of underground club forms; KILAT channel Indonesian mysticism through visceral black metal and raw walls of noise; while YL Hooi delivers a haunting, hypnotic take on bass-led rhythm and dubbed-out minimalism.
