Intersections of Soul, Jazz & Hip Hop LIVE!

Global Artists Collective presents a live concert event exploring Intersections of Soul, Jazz & Hip-Hop – Cross-Cultural Connections. The award-winning NW band Global Heat performs with Grammy-nominated Jazz artist Nathan Breedlove and special guests Anil Prasad, master of Indian Tabla; multi-instrumentalist Boka Kouyate of Guinea; and Beatbox Panda, a champion of vocal percussion. The 12-member ensemble will take you on a journey from the classic Jazz Hip Hop of A Tribe Called Quest, Digable Planets, Guru, and more; to the soulful sounds of Jill Scott and Erykah Badu; to present day fusion of Kendrick LaMar, Jon Batiste, and Global Heat originals.

This live music event is Free for the Public and open to All Ages, as part of the City of Bellevue Cross-Cultural Center Without Walls

Global Artists Collective represents performing artists of the world, from the traditional to the contemporary, whose programs illustrate cross-cultural connections in the arts. About Global Heat

Funky beats, heart-felt vocals, and positive vibes have led to Global Heat band being called: “Truly remarkable and wonderful” [Joyce Taylor, NBC News, Seattle] and “High-caliber” [Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, Reno]. Soon after its formation, the band was featured at the 2006 Shanghai (China) International Music Festival.
