Intersectionality and Disability
About this Event
I am proud to introuduce my flagship workshop, born from lived experience from myself, my children, the many SEND families I had the privilege of supporting through my peer support groups, the many professionals I have worked with and the research I have conducted.
My aim to engage my audience in critical thinking to explore perceptions, beliefs, biases and improve outcomes for professionals, groups and organisations.
You will learn about how intersectionality affects the disabled community, where today's bias's originate from, challenging your own perceptions, integenerational truama, the impact of slavery and colonialism on peoples identities in modern times.
In terms of outcomes from this workshop I am confident that attendees will feel empowered by their experience to be able to work towards better outcomes with their clients in an era of budget cuts and dwindling numbers of professionals, then maybe we can start to raise morale.
The workshops will take place in the amazing Northampton & County Club and I will be supported by @TOOT Services LTD who will be facilitating discussions.
These workshops are aimed at professionals and organisations looking for better outcomes in the work they do , for individuals/organisations who want to learn more and critically engage with present day debates and issues. Any enquiries please email me at -
