Intersection of Trauma & Yoga Workshop
About this Event
Intersection of Trauma & Yoga is a gentle, educational 2‑hour workshop designed to support yoga teachers, facilitators, helping professionals, and anyone curious about trauma‑informed practice — no yoga experience needed. We explore how trauma can impact the body, mind, and nervous system, and how yoga‑based practices can be offered in a trauma‑informed, choice‑centered way.
Foundational Introduction
The intersection of trauma and yoga explores how our bodies hold past experiences and how gentle, choice‑based movement can support regulation. Participants are invited into a grounded understanding of why the body responds the way it does — and how mindful movement, sensation awareness, and agency can help create pathways toward safety and connection.
You Can Also Expect
- Grounded exploration of how the body holds experience
- Simple movement invitations offered with choice and pacing
- Opportunities to notice sensations in a supportive way
- Space for questions and gentle reflection
