This event features a performance by Jazz Spoken Here with Chuck Haddix on piano, Charles Williams, Forest Stewart on bass, Sam Platt on drums, Mike Parkinson on trumpet, Brad Gregory on saxophones, and Jason Goudeau on trombone.
Curator Gaylord Marr of the UMKC Library’s Gaylord Marr Sound Archives will provide a colorful introduction to legendary jazz artists Charlie Parker & Miles Davis and the music they performed and recorded in the 1940s-1950s.
