*** International Zouk Day (IZD) 2026 Daytime Celebration & Dancing in CBD ***
THIS IS THE DAYTIME EVENT FOR IZD on SUN 20th Sept, stay tuned and check out our other event for Night Party, Sat 19th Sept. **
Join us as we, take Zouk into the streets of Brisbane to celebrate this amazing dance style, Brazilian Zouk, and all the happiness that dancing has brought into our lives! 💃🕺🎉🎶🥰✨
On Sunday 20th September we are continuing our celebration of International Zouk Day with dancing & the IZD flashmob taking place in the city ✨🎉🕺💃 International Zouk Day and the flashmob is an awesome idea, running since 2012!, where teams of dancers from many cities around the world will be participating in learning a choreography by one of our IZD artists, then performing it in public. 🤩💃🕺✨
Performance videos are then submitted to the IZD international committee to be compiled into a video of all participating teams from around the world. 🤗🌍. It's a lot of fun to take part in performing, or just to come and watch and enjoy some social dancing as well. 💃🕺

Sooo, let's get geared up for IZD 2026, with the help of all of YOU Zouk Lovers, and with our local dancers and share the enjoyment of this beautiful dance while showcasing it to the public. 🤗

We will be wearing tropical colours or patterns, or both!
Performers, spectators & social dancers, let's all dress to theme & Join in supporting the activities from 11am - 1pm. ✨🤗

Note: for those wanting to learn and perform the flashmob, training starts Wed 12th Aug for 6 sessions (and entry to flashmob team run by Cloud9 is open until Wed 19th).
