International Women's Day Fashion Show & Gala

Women United Around the World (WUAW) is thrilled to announce that the 2025 International Women’s Day Fashion Show & Gala will be held on March 8, 2025, at the Italian Heritage Center!

This must-attend event celebrates the ethnic and cultural diversity of Maine’s women. WUAW recognizes women's contributions to local, national, and international economies through business, public service, fashion, and the arts. The evening includes dinner and drinks, entertainment, notable guests, and a runway fashion show highlighting the 2025 Spring and Summer collections of notable Maine fashion designers.

This event is a major fundraiser for WUAW and supports our core program – The Maine Stitching Academy (MSA) – a unique nine-month intensive training program providing low-income and immigrant women with a university-level technical education in fashion and design. Graduates are prepared to take leadership positions with major manufacturers, start work as stitches, tailors, and custom dressmakers, or open businesses and start fashion lines.

This event is 18+ and ID's will be checked at the door. A "black tie" dress code is encouraged but not enforced. Please dress to impress!
